Jewish Wedding Photos

If you like my style and decide to choose me for your wedding, you can be sure I’ll capture all the traditions and rituals included in your wedding day. All weddings are unique, so will be yours. You may choose to include a selection of traditional Jewish customs as well as perhaps some from other cultures in your big day. So I will make sure each of these traditions is recorded in your wedding photos as a celebration of the moments that made your day unique. From the signing of the Ketubah, to the Bedecken ceremony, the breaking of the glass to the Horah. Your wedding album will tell the complete story of your day. From the butterflies you’ll feel in your tummy first thing in the morning right through to the moves you’ll be throwing on the dance floor by the end of the evening.

Jewish Wedding Photography UK, Israel & Destinations

Over the last few years I have even travelled to Israel on numerous occasions to photograph wedding celebrations over there. It was an amazing experience to visit Israel and see the breathtaking scenery and cultural heritage on offer. As a result I have photographed a number of both orthodox and reform Jewish weddings.

Natural Style Wedding Photography in London, rest of UK and Israel

I am an experienced Jewish wedding photographer based in London. And I am familiar with the various cultural and religious traditions that make Jewish weddings so special. Therefore I understand the importance of the bedeken, arguably one of the most emotional parts of the wedding, when the groom covers his bride with a veil before the ceremony. Ot the chuppah, symbolising the couple’s marital home, under which the wedding ceremony takes place. I have had the honour of photographing some beautiful handheld ones across the world. Also, the reading of the Ketubah is an important historical tradition still favoured by many modern Jewish couples tying the knot.

There is a lot of symbolism in Jewish wedding traditions, for example the Sheva B’rachot. These seven blessings are said to represent the seven days of creation. The blessings are said during the ceremony. Some couples are bound together before the blessings to symbolise the strength of unity.

Another amazing tradition happens in the dance floor, which is always a fun place to photograph at a Jewish wedding. Friends and family members join together to throw some moves on the floor. The Horah or Israeli dance in particular is guaranteed to be a hit, as wedding guests join together in a big circles on the dance floor. The guests hold hands or link arms and then dance around in a circle, it is fast and lively, and makes for some fun wedding photos.

Although I am based in London I am more than happy to travel anywhere in the world to photograph your wedding. Please get in touch with AdamLondon Wedding Photographer.

The Reid Rooms Wedding Photographer magic hour portrait

The Reid Rooms Wedding Photographer

I was really pleased when Natalie and Ben asked me to be their The Reid Rooms wedding photographer. The venue is beautiful, set in idyllic countryside, and oozing rustic charm. If that wasn’t enough reason to snap up this job, Natalie and Ben are both lovely. Having met them briefly, I knew that their wedding was going to be a fun one to work. I wasn’t wrong, as I’m sure you can see from the…

The Elvetham Hotel Wedding Photographer couple photo session

The Elvetham Hotel Wedding Photographer

People always comment on the weather at weddings. The general consensus seems to be that a sunny wedding is the best, but I have to say, as a photographer, there is a lot of beauty to be found in photographs of snow-capped wedding venues. So I was excited when I woke up to a curtain of white snow on the day I was going to be Sam and Roni’s The Elvetham Hotel wedding photographer. Winter weddings…

Destination Wedding Photographer Israel

Yes, I’m afraid this another post about my jet-setting dream job. I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph Sharon and Asaf’s wedding in Israel. One of the things I love about my job is not being tied to a desk in an uninspiring grey office. For a wedding photographer Israel is a beautiful backdrop. One of the other things I love, is meeting wonderful couples and helping to capture some of…
