4 Popular Ways of Having Your Proposal Captured by a Photographer
1. A London Surprise Proposal with a photo session afterwards
Your marriage proposal is a private moment between the two of you. As you can imagine, it’s a moment filled with nerves and excitement that requires meticulous planning and careful attention to detail. If it is a surprise, you will be working hard to keep everything secret until the very last minute. As an engagement photographer based in London, I can help to facilitate your surprise. It is an honour, privilege, and responsibility to be involved in a surprise proposal. I will ensure I am in the agreed location in good time to capture your big moment.
Top Tip: Always have a good reason for coming to a particular location at a specific time. I will give you some tips when we chat.
2. A Reverse Surprise Secret Proposal
I call it a reverse surprise secret proposal because we will have a photo session first, and then you will propose.
So here’s how it works: You will tell your soon-to-be-fiancee that you’ve booked a photographer for a couple’s photo session in London. We’ll meet at an agreed location for a gorgeous photo shoot. While the unsuspecting love of your life is busy smiling and posing, you will pop the question, and I’ll photograph the whole thing.
The advantages of doing it this way include our partner expecting to have their photo taken and dressing accordingly.

3. A Kissing Corner Idea for a Surprise Proposal
This is a cute idea, and it is a lot of fun. We’ll pick an iconic location to provide a perfect London backdrop for your proposal. I’ll set up an easel with a sign saying ‘Kissing Corner – Come and Kiss Someone You Love.’ I’ll approach you and ask if you want to have a photo in the Kissing Corner with a professional photogrpaher. As you kiss your partner for the photograph, the violinist will turn the sign around to reveal the reverse side, which reads “Marry Me.” The violinist will then start playing a song of your choice as you pop the question, and I’ll capture the whole thing on my camera.

4. A Location Proposal with Flowers, Candles & Marry Me Sign in London
I’ll help prepare the location for your proposal with a picnic, flowers, candles, and signage – whatever you want, be it in London or outside. I’ll set it up, ensure it looks perfect for the proposal, and then wait in the perfect place with my camera set up and waiting for you to appear. I’ll get the reactions to the awaiting scene and the proposal itself, so you’ll have an album of beautiful photos you can look back on for years to come.

“I cannot recommend Adam enough! I recently proposed to my now fiancé in Kyoto Gardens, London. I had found good reviews of Adam online, but he superseded any expectations I had. He helped me far in advance to plan and coordinate how the day would go down. He had great advice and knowledge of the area. His help alleviated a lot of stresses regarding that matter. On the day, he was able to capture the moments beautifully, and now my partner and I have memories to serve us a lifetime.
Thank you again.”

My Strengths as a London Proposal Photographer
I love photography; and there is nothing quite like seeing the joy and surprise on somebody’s face during a surprise proposal. Here are some reasons why my clients have enjoyed working with me:
1. My photos capture more than just a moment
I am just a photographer, I am someone who is interested in people and their relationships. I want to understand more about your relationship, how you met, what makes you work, and how your love story is unique, why did you choose London, etc. I want to understand your relationship so I can ensure my photos capture the essence of your relationship.
2. My knowledge of London
I have worked as a photographer in London for years, photographing proposals, weddings, and other celebrations in this glorious city. I know the best places to go for stunning backdrops and the best times to visit. Whether you have a place in mind and want somebody who can find beauty in any location or would like some help picking a perfect spot, I’m your man.
3. I’m discrete
You don’t want your surprise proposal ruined by paparazzi chasing your hopefully soon-to-be fiancee down the street. I am a professional and discrete photographer. Your partner will assume I am a tourist photographing the streets of London, and this sneaky disguise will allow me to capture your proposal.
4. I’m reliable
This is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, so you need a trustworthy photographer. I understand how important this moment is; it will kick-start the rest of your life, and I will be there to capture it. I’ll arrive super early (think Dad-catching-a-flight early) and await your arrival.
5. My composition skills
If engagement photography were as simple as discretion and reliability, any old James Bond could do it. In reality, however, your photography skills are the most important aspect of the job. You are paying a professional photographer because you want stunning professional photographs; I’ll ensure you get them. We will discuss camera setup and positioning so you know what the background will be before the day.
“Adam truly is the reason my engagement was even able to happen properly. This being a vacation to London ( England), I quickly found out that London weather is ever-changing and he was in constant communication with me planning location, time, angle, picnic setup, etc. And then of course the photos came out better and more beautiful than I could have expected!
Thank you again!”
