Perfect Wedding Venue

Shendish Manor is a beautifully restored Victorian manor house nestled amongst an impressive 160 acres of parklands and formal gardens. This special manor house offers the splendour of Victorian design and the sophistication of modern touches, giving you the best of both worlds. The striking architecture is a perfect backdrop to your big day, and the scenic grounds create an idyllic place to celebrate with your friends and family. The manor house is simply stunning, with huge bay windows and towering brick chimneys. The grounds provide the perfect balance between manicured beauty and wildness. The formal gardens have a Secret Garden appeal with tall brick walls and flowering shrubs. It’s easy to see why this idyllic location is one of Hertfordshire’s most sought-after wedding venues.

Wedding Photos of Emma and Elliott

at Shendish Manor in Hertfordshire

I started my day early to capture the morning of Emma and Elliott’s wedding celebration. I love being there to capture the couple preparing separately on the morning of the wedding. The tummies filled with butterflies, bridesmaids helping position the veil, and the groomsmen laughing and joking to calm their nerves. It’s a great way to get an insight into the couple and how they feel about this exciting day and the rest of their lives together.

As is traditional, both parents accompanied the bride and groom to the altar and supported them during the ceremony. The wedding ceremony was lovely, and I particularly love the shot of Elliott’s foot about to break the glass placed carefully underfoot. You can see the guests looking on expectantly in the background as his (it must be said) beautiful shoe heads down towards the glass.

Documentary Style Wedding Photography at Shendish Manor

As you can see from the photos, the day was filled with laughter as the happy couple, and their loved ones celebrated the union. One of the best bits of my job is capturing people’s joy as they celebrate with loved ones. Emma and Elliott’s wedding was filled with people overjoyed to celebrate this wonderful couple’s wedding.

I love the photo of Emma and Elliott holding hands under a stone archway in the garden. The archway’s shape is present inside and outside the manor house, so this iconic shape is repeated throughout their wedding album. As the newlyweds took a private walk around the grounds, chatting about the day so far, I followed with my camera to get some shots of them in their beautiful venue. Emma and Elliott looked blissfully happy, entirely at ease and totally in love.
