Are you looking for a Royal Hospital Chelsea wedding Photographer? If yes, it came to the right place. I am Adam, a London Wedding Photographer. Welcome to my Royal Hospital Chelsea wedding photos gallery, please have a look at wedding photos of Janina and Will taken at this amazing wedding venue in London. The Royal Hospital Chelsea is home to the Chelsea Pensioners. If you haven’t heard of the Chelsea Pensioners, it’s a prestigious position held only by those who have served in the military for at least 12 years or were awarded a disablement pension while serving. The Royal Hospital Chelsea is home to 300 retired soldiers of the British Army. The Chelsea Pensioners forfeit their right to an army pension and instead accept board, lodging, clothing and medical care as Chelsea Pensioners. Each pensioner’s room features a writing desk, natural light and ensuite facilities thanks to an upgrade in 2015. In addition, Chelsea Pensioners have a bar, lounges and restaurant on-site, and allotments and lawn bowls.

Royal Hospital Chelsea Wedding Photography

The Royal Hospital Chelsea is an exceptional wedding venue thanks to the rich history and quintessentially British feel. Founded by King Charles II in 1682, the grand building sits amongst 66 acres of grounds. The Great Hall, a popular venue, is impeccable, with dark wood panelling and impossibly high ceilings. In addition, the Great Hall, designed by Sir Christopher Wren, features a large mural that dates back to 1690 depicting King Charles II on horseback.

Sir Christopher Wren designed the Baroque Chapel, another exquisite feature of this prestigious venue. The tall windows allow natural light to flood the room, lighting up the wood panelling and ornate ceiling. Only couples with a strong military connection, or those from the local Parish, can be married in the Chapel, making it an exclusive choice of venue. The Wren Chapel and The Great Hall are connected by a grand corridor and impressive staircase, with rich wood-panelled walls and an iconic checkerboard floor.

Stunning Backdrops for Photos

Located in the heart of Chelsea, The Royal Hospital Chelsea boasts views of the River Thames, making it an idyllic spot for a celebration. The spacious and elegant courtyards provide the perfect location for your guests to enjoy the views. In addition, the Ranelagh Gardens are secluded and breath-taking gardens in the grounds of Royal Hospital Chelsea. Unsurprisingly, this fine venue has featured in several period productions, including Downton Abbey and Churchill At War. The beautifully designed rooms detailed above and the luscious gardens and grounds offer stunning backdrops for photography. With a venue as impressive as this one, you won’t be short of grand photo backgrounds. So whether you prefer luscious foliage or dark wood panelling, this venue has plenty to offer your picture album. One of my favourite duties as a wedding photographer is to take pictures of the newlyweds after the ceremony. As their friends and family enjoy a glass of fizz, I accompany the couple on a walk. Then, as the couple enjoy a brief moment of quiet togetherness on an otherwise busy day, I snap away with my camera, capturing the emotions of the day.

Reportage Wedding Photography at Royal Hospital Chelsea

As a documentary wedding photography, I specialise in taking natural shots of your big day. My previous clients have described me as professional, friendly, reliable and unobtrusive. I will make my way around your venue, unobtrusively taking pictures of your guests having fun. They won’t even know I’m there most of the time! This fly-on-the-wall style photography allows me to get unstaged images of your guests enjoying themselves. No fake smiles, no awkward poses; instead, my pictures will showcase the atmosphere of your big day. Clients tell me that flicking through their wedding albums takes them right back to the day. My images will capture the love and friendship, and happiness of the day. As your extended family and friends join together in celebrating your union, I will capture as much of the day as I can. My images tell a story; they capture a moment in time. When you flick through your album in years to come, you’ll remember the laughter as the best man gave his speech. You’ll see the questionable moves on the dancefloor from the end of the night. You’ll see the two of you, deeply in love and surrounded by the people who love you. That’s what your big day is all about, and that’s what I try to encapsulate with my shots.
