I am Adam, Asian Wedding Photographer. Welcome to my a St Donats Castle Wedding Photography page. I can vouch for this medieval castle being a perfect location for a romantic celebration. With its rich history spanning over 800 years, this beautiful castle is a dreamy venue. St Donats Castle is protected by a moat and boasts antique ceilings, imposing fireplaces, battlements and dungeons. I mean, you can’t have a wedding without dungeons, can you!? The castle’s history is as rich as its history, with plenty of stories of ghosts, executed pirates, Celtic Kings and witches. The medieval castle is filled with beautiful locations for your wedding photography. The Tudor gardens are absolutely stunning to match the interior. Sitting on the picturesque coastline of South Wales, St Donats Castle offers breathtaking views of the bay and the sea beyond.
Capturing Happy Moments At St Donats Castle
As a documentary style wedding photographer, I capture memories as they unfold. My favourite images are the ones that show real emotion, that stir up the memories when looked at even years later. I’ve always had a good eye for composition so I pride myself on taking natural yet beautiful shots. One of my favourite shots from this St Donats Castle big day shows the newlyweds sat together on a bench overlooking the sea. The location was beautiful, with the vibrant blue of the sky meeting the sea’s calming tones. Flanked by greenery, the newlyweds are sharing a quiet moment together on the bench. It’s a gorgeous shot and I hope it always reminds them of one of the few moments of quiet they shared together on their big day.

Wedding Romance At St Donats Castle
This venue is absolutely perfect for a dreamy, romantic wedding. The light stone walls, the towering ceilings and the lush green gardens are the perfect backdrop for your wedding theme. This celebration was beyond beautiful, the dining room was breath-taking setup ready for the guests to arrive. Thanks to the good weather, a lot of the celebrations were able to take place outside in the gardens of St Donats Castle. While this makes my job more complicated because of the changing light levels, it allows for plenty of greenery and gorgeous garden shots.
Documentary Photography At St Donats Castle
Reportage photography comes into its own when the dance floor gets busy. I love images that capture the movement and fun of the night, with huge smiles and extravagant dance moves a-plenty. This celebration was no exception with a ceilidh to celebrate the nuptials. There are some wonderful photographs of the happy couple sharing a dance together on the dance floor. The ceilidh convinced young and old to dance together on the dance floor and the resulting images show how much fun they were all having. Finally, you couldn’t get married at a venue like this without snapping a picture of a kiss under the iconic portcullis. The romantically lit night shot of these two sharing a kiss at the castle door is another favourite from the door. The imposing castle looks magnificent against the dark blue of the sky, and the couple seem to be sharing a private moment on their special day.
