Cambridge Wedding Photographer

My photography style is modern, colourful, romantic and stylish. Therefore, I pride myself on taking photographs that not only capture a moment in time but also tell a story. I have loved photography since I was a child, and feel incredibly lucky to have made a career out of something I love. I photographed my very first wedding in 2007, and since then have captured over 200 couples tying the knot.

I had a great privilege to photograph amazing weddings in Cambridge at Clare College, Trinity College, Magdalene College and Newham College as well as at the stunning Old Hall Ely. Cambridgeshire is really one of those places that offers something for everyone. Whether you’re into city living, rural chic or something a little more unusual, there will be a venue for you in this county.

Reportage Style Wedding Photography

My favourite photography style is known as reportage photography (also caked documentary), it’s the practice of documenting events through images. This means I will capture your day as it happens. I’ll be there in the background, snapping away and making sure I capture the atmosphere and events that unfold on your wedding day. This is a non intrusive photography style and works really well for weddings. Your guests are too busy having fun and catching up with friends to worry about posing for photographs. Using reportage style photography, I’ll be able to capture that fun. The added bonus is that your friends will all look natural because they won’t be posing for group shots.

Stylish Photos Full of Emotions

That said, I’m happy to do the odd posed shot. There are probably a few family groupings you’d love to capture on film, and I’m happy to do that for you. I also love taking the couple shots after the ceremony. We’ll leave your guests to enjoy the bucks fizz and canapes, and we’ll disappear to a more private location. We’ll take some beautiful shots of the two of you as newlyweds. You’ll know the sorts of photos you love, and this is our chance to capture some.

Whether it’s modern styled shots in front of peeling gates, or more traditional images of a walk around the grounds. Whatever you want, we’ll be able to come up with some gorgeous shots for you to treasure forever. I usually do this shortly after the ceremony, and the resulting photos always turn out great because the bride and groom are still excited after the ceremony (and probably a little relieved that it’s over).

Celebrate Your Big Day

After that, it’s time for you to go and enjoy your wedding. You can disappear to catch up with friends and family, and share in the joining of two families. Meanwhile I’ll be busy capturing the wedding reception. I’ll work my way around, making sure to capture as much as I can. I won’t intrude on the celebrations but will be more of a fly on the wall. Well, if flies carried huge cameras around with them, that is.

I’ll photograph the big moments, the things you’ll want to remember forever. The I do’s, the exchange of the rings, the speeches and the dancing. But I’ll also capture so much more. I’ll capture the raw emotions of the day. The joy, the nerves, the tears and the elation. I’ll make sure that all of that is captured through my lens so you can look back at it forever.

Timeless Memories of your Best Day

My wedding photography Cambridge will take you right back in time to the moment I took the photograph. After all, that’s what photographs are for, isn’t it? My images will transport you back through time so you can relive that special day. They’ll take you back to the bridal suite as you were getting ready, and the bridesmaids around you were laughing and joking about the day ahead. I’ll take you back to that moment just before you walked down the aisle, and how nervous and excited you felt about what was to come. And I’ll also take you back to that love you felt as you stood at the altar, looking into each other’s eyes and knowing that this was it. Hopefully  I’ll also take you back to the speeches, and the laughter from the tables as the best man gave his infamous speech.

I don’t only photograph weddings in Cambridge but I am also happy to travel to any of the Local counties and other parts of the UK.
